I wonder how long it took you to wear nice lingerie after having your baby? It took me months and months because I was breast-feeding, and breast pads just didn't look that nice under sexy bras!

My baby is now 12 months and I still live in maternity singlets and bras - sad I know! I'm only breastfeeding twice a day - first thing in the morning and around 6pm - but I can't be bothered putting on a 'normal' bra (let alone sexy lingerie) and then having to change, or sit fully exposed, for the evening feed. I also feel way too tired to think about being sexy - although perhaps it's time I started making an effort!

I began to look at "nice" lingerie while i was shopping today. My child is 10 months old tomorrow and as of tomorrow, no more breast feeds after slowly weaning him off. Currently it isn't an issue of breast pads, but breast size. How small/long will they become? Also a financial issue, $40! There's a tin of formula!

It took me over a year, probably closer to the 2 year mark, because of breastfeeding and weight gain and budget issues as well. Once I stopped breastfeeding and lost some weight I started feeling more like wanting to be sexy and by then I could also stretch the budget to some new lingerie, which was much appreciated by hubby
My advice would be to get measured before buying a new bra, so you get the right size as pregnancy and breastfeeding does weird and wonderful things to our breasts and bodies.

It didn't take me long, but that could also be because i'm very young and i felt i should be wearing something sexier rather then maternity bras etc. Although, that didn't mean i felt sexy within myself. My daughter is now almost 5 years old and in the last year i have only really began to accept who i am and appreciate my body. I didn't breastfeed for very long though.

My daughter is 15 months old and still has 4-5 breastfeeds a day so I'm still in maternity bras and breastfeeding singlets. But that aside, I gave up wearing sexy lingerie long ago, my husband takes them off too quickly for me to be bothered. But more recently we haven't even spoken in almost a week let alone had call for sexy anything.
